Welcome to the Visual Art Category
Our Art lessons have all been trialed in both practising specialist art classrooms as well as general ed classrooms. They are practical, and highly visual, with clear step-by-step instructions to guide even the most novice teacher through delivering a successful art experience for their students.
Most lessons link to inquiry learning and other subject areas in the curriculum so that the learning for students is trans-disciplinary and wide, rather that single subject focused and narrow.
Some of our lessons have short video demonstrations loaded below the product. You can return anytime and safely watch these with your students, when teaching the skill. No advertising or inappropriate content to worry about
Lessons range from those with basic supplies, right through to photography and ceramics. Theory and bulletin board materials are also available.
Most lessons can adapt up or down, depending on your personal circumstances. The age of the students that created the examples is given in each resource as a guide but not as a rule. Most lessons can adapt for Elementary and Middle schools. Use the sub-categories below to select your level or scroll down to view all the lesson plans.
As our customers are international, we do not align to any one curriculum. Instead, we choose to place the focus on content, skills and developing creative or critical thinking in students through these lessons. Feel free to align any of our lessons to your own curriculum and assessment structure. Some lessons will contain assessment options that link to IB PYP and the NZ Visual Art curriculum.
