Line, the basic element of all design, has unlimited forms. It is not only a "container", but an entity in itself. Use this bumper teaching guide for the element of art, to develop your student’s theoretical understanding of the element of line. Student's will produce up to 4 art pieces to demonstrate their conceptual understandings and learnings about line theory.

- how to draw different types of line from observation
- how to invent and use line variety & rhythm to create Crazy Hair Day portraits
- how to create optical illusion art based on the work of Bridget Riley
- how to reflect on their understanding and work product
