Art Lesson LIVING WORLD / LITERATURE - Bug Buffet Inspired by the Lion King (plaster paris, papier mache, modelling clay)
Techniques are teacher guided and includes extensive student choice opportunities.
Suitable for primary / elementary and middle school.
This whimsical art lesson was realised with children aged between 4-5 and would work well for older students too. Inspired by the Hakuna Matata segment from the Lion King. It also links beautifully with any Science learning about insects and their habitats. The art elements of shape and form feature throughout these lessons. Students create 3D forms with mediums like papier mache, plaster of paris and dough to complete their sculptures. All instructions are clearly photographed and written step-by-step to help you teach it to your students too.
