Stream the video lesson through a large screen for your child or students to follow along, pausing in places for them to complete the steps at their own pace, or rewind and rewatch when needed. Children will: create an artwork of a cat in a flower garden with easily available art materials.
Learning intentions include: drawing with shapes, adding details, colouring techniques for water colour paints, cutting and glueing skills, creating unique patterns on your cat, adding personality with facial features, brush techniques for flower petals
Media demonstrated: oil pastels and water colour paint, paper collage for eyes (cutting & pasting). With drying time, artwork can take between 1-2 lessons to complete.
Materials needed: A5* white art paper, drawing pencil, oil pastels, assorted paintbrushes, water colour paints, black marker pen, paper scraps, scissors and glue.

The video preview is a snippet from the actual resource to give you an idea of my teaching style. I am both a general ed classroom teacher and currently practicing as a Visual Art and Digital Media specialist educator, teaching students from ages 4-12, at a primary school.
