Question stems are provided to explore for 11 reading strategies, with multiple options within each strategy, encouraging students choice. Proved very successful as an independent follow-up reading activity with students aged 9+ with a fluent reading ability. Can be used / introduced as a teacher directed reading activity first and then independent reading of self-chosen chapter books / novels. Due to the generic nature of the question stems, they can be adapted to any text, making them the perfect time-saving resource where setting book specific work is no longer possible.
