CATS ON MATS is a perfect fit for Kindergarten, First grade and Second grade students, all working on language acquisition. Highly engaging as young children have a natural love for cute cats, this multi- lesson art project tutorial makes authentic links to language learning patterns in Literacy. Students will explore oil and water resist techniques to make painted papers, use line patterns to decorate mats, cut shapes to build their cats and compose their own cat poses.
