Spring and Summer are always a favourite theme for Visual Art projects in elementary. Giant Impressionist Flowers is a step-by-step lesson plan that takes students through an acrylic painting tutorial and helps them to create their own version of the project. Students in upper elementary and middle school will explore painting techniques like 'tache', 'impasto' and blending, to create a striking artwork. Extra information is included about artist - Vincent van Gogh, art history and art techniques.
